Location
In the Medersa Ben Youssef, in Marrakech, Morocco, during one of my photographic travel.Time
Late afternoon, the light was changing inside the Building, which has an internal open Courtyard. And I got this lucky strike of a tourist dressed in black with those red lips (I don't know who she is).Lighting
All is taken in natural light. The thing I noticed immediately was the contrast between the pale skin of the girl dressed in black, and the background. And the curious thing was that the color of her skin was really recalling the walls.Equipment
Nikon D810 with a Nikkor 70-200 f/4 handeld, nothing else, this was a candid shot.Inspiration
The moment, I was admiring the arabesques and the decorations of the palace, when she came out from the window. I had just to capture the moment.Editing
A little increase of contrast, sharpness and some vignette around the border to add more three dimensional sensation...In my camera bag
when I travel i have with me two Nikon Dslrs (D810 and D850), Nikon 16-35, Nikon 24-70, Nikon 70-200, plus two irix Lenses (11 and 15mm). Some ND filters to reduce the ligth when needed, some CPL to increase contrasts, a tripod (Manfrotto or Genesis, ball head), a lot of batteries and memory cards.Feedback
Sit yourself in a promising place, then be patient, wait for it, hope for it, often something happens. If nothing happens, it was't the day.
