Location
I took this photo in Germany and it is of the Neuschwanstein Castle in southwest Bavaria Germany.Time
This photo was taken around 11:00am on a snow covered path leading up to the castle.Lighting
I just used the beautiful light of the day and the snow.Equipment
I used my Nikon D5100..I used my 55mm- 300mm lens.Inspiration
I have always wanted to see this castle after reading about it. We picked a perfect day to go and visit. It was middle November, a light snow was falling and it was so incredibly beautiful. We could have taken a ride up to the castle but we decided to walk the very long path leading up to it. It truly was one of the most beautiful walks I have ever been on. It was snowing ever so lightly and the trees and ground were covered in pristine white snow, it was magical. Since I live in California I just so enjoyed this snowy day in Germany.Editing
I did not do any post-processing. I was just so happy with how the photo looked. In my camera bag
I have my Nikon D5100 camera. I have two lenses, my 18mm- 55mm and my 55mm- 300mm...I sometimes carry my tri-pod strapped to my bag on the side. I also have a lens hood. I always carry my instruction book in case something goes wrong and I need to look up how to fix it.Feedback
My best advice is sometimes just be very aware of what is around you. Look all around and see what beauty might be right there and then snap a photo of whatever it might be. Then position yourself and your camera to be able to capture just the right angle to best suit your shot.
