Behind The Lens

Location

In Santa Cruz, California in the Monterey Bay.

Time

I took this photo at sunset.

Lighting

I was just loving the sunset lighting and all of the beautiful colors.

Equipment

Nikon D 40 with a zoom lens.

Inspiration

My husband and I like to take our powerboat out on Wednesday evenings during the summer for the sailboat races in the Monterey Bay. We try and do this as often as we can so we can get a birds eye view of these beautiful sailboats.

Editing

I didn't do any post processing of my photo.

In my camera bag

I have my Nikon camera and two lens. One zoom and one regular and a tripod and extra battery.

Feedback

Just be patient and wait for the right moment. My husband kept turning our boat so the sun would be in the perfect position for the sun setting on this on the gorgeous sail of this boat.
