Location
I took this photo of the Puente de Arganzuela in Madrid. It goes over the río Manzanares (Manzanares river) and is in or part of the Parque Madrid Río (Madrid River Park).Time
This was taken in the afternoon.Lighting
The lighting wasn't particularly good that day. It was cloudy and looked like it might rain.Equipment
I used a Nikon D7000 with a fisheye lens set to f9. The lens was an inexpensive sayang lens.Inspiration
I've always liked this bridge but never had a lens where I could take the proper shot. They were always too tight. Even my 17mm lens wouldn't let me take this view because there simply isn't enough space to move back far enough. I finally bought a fisheye and started playing with it and this is the result.Editing
Yes. I did 90% of the processing in Photoshop Lightroom using Nik plugins. These are the best plugins for photoshop or lightroom bar none. The only software that comes close is capture one pro that I use with my Sony cameras. In my camera bag
I used to always carry my Nikon but I've migrated to a Sony system. I usually have a few vintage lenses in my bag. In fact what I usually shoot with now are almost all manual focus vintage lenses that are 30-80 year old lenses. I usually have a 50mm f1.4, a 35mm f2.8, a 70-200mm, and an assortment.Feedback
Get to know your lenses and equipment. Don't buy a new lens until you understand the characteristics of the lens(es) you currently own. I have about six (6) different 50mm lenses and each one has a different character and renders light and color differently. I will usually decide to walk around and use a single lens for the day and if I find a shot i like but I have the wrong lens, i will note the location and come back with a few different lenses that might work better (this is for when i'm photographing in the city i'm living in). If I'm traveling, I just bring my sony and a variety of lenses. I usually carry about 8 lenses in my bag and the bag still weighs less than my nikon and 3 lenses.
