Really nice but I think today i would spot out a few of those white spots on the figures because it only distracks my eye.

Location
This photo was taken down the LaSalle Street financial corridor in downtown Chicago.Time
The time of day was around 5 PM, the city rush hour, during a surprise late March snowstorm, the last of the winter season.Lighting
The lighting for this scene was dramatically mixed. Natural ambient daylight was still illuminating the sky and the upper buildings, yet the lower streetscape was illuminated by the incandescent street lamps. This warm artificial lighting reflected beautifully off the pavement glistening from the moisture of the falling snow.Equipment
This shot was taken with a Minolta 7000 film camera, using a 50 mm lens.Inspiration
I like shooting in inclement weather and I decided to photograph the city rush hour during this unexpected late season snowstorm. As I was crossing the intersection at LaSalle Street, I looked south down this urban corridor. Struck by the passing street traffic, I quickly took this photo. Only afterwards, while examining my contact sheet, did I realize how crucial the couple crossing the street was to the visual impact of this image. Without them, this image would have rather mundane, despite the setting and lighting. Considering that this photo was taken with a handheld camera at virtually a moment's notice, I regard the result as a very happy one.Editing
Post-processing was basically straightforward in terms of brightness/contrast. The objective from the start, however, was to avoid color correcting the lovely warm red/yellow color cast shed by the street lamps. The color negative film captured a lighting temperature not actually present, transforming a cold winter scene into a warm one.In my camera bag
Traveling light, I normally carry a zoom lens and one fixed lens. I also usually carry a polarizing filter.Feedback
Keep your eyes open and don't be afraid of inclement weather, which can present many worthwhile photo opportunities. I did not fully comprehend the full visual content and import of this street photograph at the moment it was taken. So luck may sometimes richly reward readiness.
