An Iranian woman fighting against the oppression of women by the Iranian regime.
Due to previous misinterpretations which generated a heated polemic around this photo, I explain that the body resembles a wall difficult to surpass. The frontal shot is to highlight the gap where you can see the light behind (hope) and the idea that they have been “surviving in the cracks”. The hands together represent the incapacity to fight more while the finger cut represents the inability to vote. The gap shows the colors green and white from the Iranian flag missing the red that means martyrdom, precisely what she wants to remove from her people.
