During the 2023 autumn white-tail deer rut, we had three visitors (two pictured) visit our small street. The axis deer are native to Sri Lanka, India, and Nepal. It was a lovely surprise to see them in our neighborhood. They are the descendants of axis deer who were set free or escaped from one of the nearby ranches.
