A group of three juvenile axis deer (triplets?) showed up two days in a row on our street during the 2023 autumn rut. Our resident white-tail deer weren't sure what to think of them at first, but quickly accepted them into their territory.

So is this juvenile pretty young...per the spots?

Ron, I believe even the adults have spots on axis deer. These three (triplets?) that visited our street seemed smaller than the adults and have a young look to them.
