Here's a Paintbrush (aka: Indian Paintbrush, though this is now considered pejorative), growing along the highway where the road my address is listed starts.

Its literally right alongside the road where big rigs, pickups and autos zip on by at around 80mph, though you'd never know it when I frame the images.

The Paintbrush, like the Bluebonnet, is a type of lupen that grows pretty much all over the Great Plains as far as I know.
