Trying to create the cover for my book I wanted to include paua shell as part of the design. It looked pretty enough but did not work as part of the cover. This is a part of one of my many failed attempts. The paua was snapped from a real paua shell using my cellphone. The image was edited in Photoshop and the black lines were drawn in illustrator.
