I was sailing past in a little racing yacht during one of our local races.
It's my favourite of all my photos because it's so energetic and captures one of the best human ways of exploiting the energy of wind and wave. It also features Earth Sea and Sky interacting and it was a fantastic memory to be there. I think I was quite frightened at the time as we were rounding the rocks so close because of the pressure of racing. The skipper knew those waters so much better than I did. He was not afraid at all.
