The old stone lighthouse La Vieille ("The Old Lady"), outside Pointe-du-Raz, Plogoff, Brittany is a solitary watcher.
It stands 33m tall above sea level, atop a rock called Gorlebella (Breton for "farthest rock"). The tower itself measures 27m.
Built 1882-1887, automated 1995. Light-beam range 18 nm (33 km).

The Old Lady lighthouse is truly battered when the winter storms set in.
