Pointe-du Raz is a truly feared place for mariners. Here huge 15m waves thunder across the ocean during the autumn and winter storms,
along with severe and turbulent tidal currents, moving immense masses of water through the strait Raz de Sein, at speeds up to 6 knots!
Outside the point you see the lighthouses La Vieille & La Plate, and if looking very closely at the horizon between them,
you can barely spot the lighthouse Enez Sun, 9 km away, on the island Ile-de-Sein, residing on the other side of strait Raz de Sein.
Captured here on a calm summer day, but you can clearly see the tidal torrents, flowing to the right in this image.
