Elle est encore appelée "petite jacinthe", "muguet bleu" "bleuet des bois" et même "coucou" dans le Nord de la France. Alors coucou, me revoilà.

Location
I took this photo in a wood near my home where I spotted a large patch of blooming blue bells wild flowers. Jacinthe des bois is the French name for these wildflowers.Time
It was likely just before sunset on a beautiful April day. You can see the golden hues in the background of my subject that I particularly affectionate.Lighting
When I shoot these specific macro botanical subjects in natural settings, I make sure that my subjects are not overexposed which would burn and ruin the focus. I, therefore, move my camera until my focused subjects move from the overexposed area, while keeping the natural light hues and bokeh in the background. As a result, my macro subject is well defined with their original colors against a dreamy bokeh natural light in the background. I definitely enjoy the blue and a golden light bokeh background which is a perfect combination.Equipment
I have been using my Olympus E5 with my amazing ZUIKO macro lens 50mm. Handheld as I have to move a lot to get my subjects in the perfect exposure. I always shoot my subjects in natural lights and settings.Inspiration
When I go to the woods, I am always highly inspired by tiny wildflowers. When I spotted this patch of blue purple wildflowers bluebells, I had no hesitation and despite the high grass around and difficult path to reach out, I managed to cross it, and enjoyed my shooting.Editing
Of course, I worked my TIFF files in PS. Shadows/highlights uplift to enhance the texture, vibrance. Then, I post processed separately the subject by enhancing the focus on the bluebell, and give that perfect contrast with an ethereal, dreamy bokeh background as I wish for.In my camera bag
It depends on where I go and what am I aiming to shoot on that day. If I am aiming at birds, or other wildlife, I will carry my amazing ZUIKO 250mm or 200mm F2.8. If I focus on macro subjects, my ZUIKO 50mm F2 will be okay.Feedback
Carry a macro lens 50mm with a F2 for your depth of field. Your subject shouldn’t be overexposed by the sunlight or it will be burnt. Move until you see the real colors of your subject in the viewfinder, with the sunlight in the background. In that way, your subject will be in focus with a bokeh background. Of course, you need to use the right macro lens with a great depth of field (F2). Then, you can enhance it during post processing by sharpening it while keeping a dreamy bokeh background which gives such atmosphere.
