2023 Aug 30 USA Southern California Pacific time about 8PM,Pacific Palisades 8-30-2023 : This is the Blue Super Moon. The Super Moon took place on a Blue moon (second moon in a month is a Blue Moon}. This full moons is special because on this night this moon is the closest moon to be to the earth . The next time this moon can be seen is in 2037. If you missed it do not be sad go out after this date and look up at night. I took this photo with a Canon 7 D Mark 2 camera and a long lens . Under expose and then expose in post
because this is how my eye saw this moon. The only way to get the orange color of the moon is to under expose and then saturate in post . I also cropped the photo. Some people call the moon a Blue moon but the moon was orange and could be confusing. Go out and look at this moon because the close proximity of the moon make it look look huge! I took this photo from my parked car and used the window as a tripod.
The color of the Super Blue Moon was light orange. What you see in the color is unedited no color saturation or color added .I put time to underexpose the photo to get details and hopefully the color then lightened the photo in photodhop lightroom the color appeared as well as the detailed. What you see is what I saw .I hope you like it. In some locations the moon was larger but the brighter moon made is hard to capture the details of the creator and light orange color.
