8-20-23 This photo is Tropical Cyclone Hilary hitting Southern California. The fronds of these palm trees bent in the wind by nature's fury! The moaning sound of the wind filled the canyon as it passed.

Tropical Cyclone Hilary slammed the United States on Sunday 8-20-2023. It is bringing heavy rain downpours and flooding. Most important this cyclone that started as a hurricane in Mexico and resulted in the first tropical storm in 82 years to hit the west coast of the United States. It is hitting Californica with vigor! Today the flooding is resulting in rivers. Swift water rescues have been called in many locations. Final result of the storm is not concluded but the vast spread of the storm reached all over the western United States. Final rain total in this location Pacific Palisades, Ca USA was 2 inches of rain in 24 hours plus typhoon winds.
