I believe this beautiful flower is a Melaleuca flower, also known as, Pink Melaleuca, Showy Honey-myrtle and 'Little Nessie'. The lavender to rose pink "pom-pom" flowers appear over a long period from spring to mid-summer. The flowers look like a fireworks display with the brilliant white to gold tips of each lavendar pom-pom bristle.
