Location
Taken in Eshaness, Shetland. (Scotland)Time
The picture was taken one hour before sunset.Lighting
I took a similar shot six years ago on a dull day, this time I wanted to bring the sea rocks to life with a warm glow of sunshine. The rocks faced west so I had to take the picture at the end of the day, It was on the 3rd day the sun shone through the cloud long enough to capture the image.Equipment
Panasonic Lumix DC G9 with a Leica 100-400 zoomInspiration
This is such a beautiful part of the world with a rugged coastline, it would be hard not to be inspired.Editing
I always shoot raw photos, this me more scope in Photoshop, in this case, they needed little work, twinge the vibrance (colour) and sharpness and that was it.In my camera bag
It varies if I'm travelling light then I carry my Lumix DC G9 with a 12-60 mini zoom and my Leica 100-400Feedback
Patience is the key, I constantly go over my old photos and I tend to be really critical and strive to improve, I actually planned to take this picture before I arrived on the island, and it took 3 days of waiting before I was satisfied with the result.
