Behind The Lens

Location

This is from a beach near Chania, Crete, Greece. The photo was taken a while back, in 2018.

Time

The time was late afternoon, early evening. Setting sun, with a lot of colors .

Lighting

The light would have been difficult if I wanted a photo of the people, with details. What I was after were the colors - and the silhouettes to bring some life and a story into the scene - so .... perfect light.

Equipment

This was shot with my little Fuji X100 S which I carry at all times (or, to be very honest ... I use my phone for photos "on the go" more and more often). 23mm - 1/200sek- f/5.6 - ISO 200

Inspiration

I think the photo speaks for itself. Colors. Happy people. (I do not know them but they must be). Makes me happy.

Editing

Yes. The raw-format needs a brush-up, and ... the important part of this photo ( the part carrying the piece) is the color. So... I have worked with the colors and at the same time keeping Exposure low, to maintain the silhouettes.

In my camera bag

In my bag there are an iPhone12 , a Fuji X100S and a Sony A7ii - not necessarily all at the same time.

Feedback

The most important, main advice must be ... to have a camera with you at all times. No camera, no photo. The scenes themselves pop up all the time, if you keep your ceyes open. Best Wishes :-)
