Location
This photo was taken near the dam on Table Rock lake in Branson Missouri. There is a special spot on the lake that my wife and I love to go swimming during the summer and sometimes I just go and sit there and relax, it's very peaceful and calming.Time
I shot this image about an hour before sunset. I find that time of day to be some of the best lighting most of the time.Lighting
In my opinion the lighting was near perfect. The sun was starting to set and the light that was cast over the rocks and the water just made for a beautiful image.Equipment
For this image I used my DJI Mavic Mini.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this image because of the location. As I stated in a previous question this is a special place to me and I wanted a unique photo to print and frame so that I can always remember the amazing summers spent here with my wife.Editing
I actually did not do much post processing at all. I did however use a photoshop preset filter to simply correct my exposure a little, but since it was very close, not much correction was needed. In my camera bag
In my bag I carry my trusty Canon EOS 7D, two Pentax K100's (one for color and one for black and white film), DJI Mavic Mini Drone, Canon 24-70mm f/4L IS, Canon 70-200mm f/4L IS, Canon 17-85mm f/4 IS, Tamron SP 45mm f/1.8 VC, a Manfrotto tripod, shutter release with remote, various ND filters, variable ND filters, extra batteries, chargers, flashlight and two lenseballs.Feedback
In my opinion to be a good landscape photographer you just have to get out and shoot lots of photos. When I first started out in photography I taught myself by just getting out and shooting thousands of images. I have been out at all times of the day and night and I have weathered every type of weather imaginable from the summer heat to rain and even snow. Sometimes I use Google maps to find locations and sometimes I just simply drive around. You won't ever know what you are capable of until you get out there and explore what our beautiful planet has to offer.
