Location
This shot was taken in the old ghost town Bodie California, high in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountainsTime
Mid-morning on an overcast cold & windy day in October.Lighting
Lighting was only what nature gave me on an slightly overcast cloudy day with the sun peaking out once in awhile.Equipment
This was taken with a Sony a99ii handheld with a Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 lensInspiration
The weathering of the wood looked unreal, almost as if it was a painting. I was in awe of just about everything I seen in Bodie.Editing
Yes, I shoot everything in raw so post process is necessity in my opinion. Mainly dodge, burn & a vignette, maybe a little white balance & color adjustments. In my camera bag
I've recently switched to Sony's e-mount system. I generally carry 2 a7riii cameras, Sony GM lenses including 85 1.4, 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8, 100-400... Sigma art 135 1.8 & art 24 1.4... & a Zeiss 50 1.4... The holdfast strap is a must & the big pelican case to hold everything.Feedback
First learn your camera, make it second nature to operate it. If you find an interesting subject take some time & experiment with different compositions & settings, move around & hit it at a bunch of different angles.
