It was around 2 in the afternoon and the light was greatLighting
The light was coming a little from the side and shining on the clouds and the building and it was perfect lighting to take the photo, if I waited one more house the light would have been in my eyes and not good time to be taking photosEquipment
Tripod and Nikon d 500 which is not just a Wildlife camera as people think, it takes amazing landscape photos I also used a Hoya nd 10 stop filter to blur out the waterInspiration
Joseph Mohr in 1816 wrote the lyrics to the Christmas Carol, Silent night Holy night and this Christmas Carol everyone knows and to be the same place where he worked and wrote the lyrics and music to the song is just amazing. Think about this being there in early 1800 and snow around the creek and the Church and the Christmas Carol being sung and played in this place . It sure must have been a silent and quiet place.that gave Joseph the inspiration for this songEditing
I only brought out a little saturation and gave it a little more colour in lightroom, besides that I did not need to do any heavy post processing, I want the image to appear as natural as possibleIn my camera bag
Nikon d 500, Hoya nd filter 10 stop, Sigma 17-70 mm, sigma 10-20mmFeedback
Its the mountains so keep an eye on the weather, I was down there for a week and only had sunshine one day to capture this photo, on the other cloudy days you want be able to see the mountains, so its kind of takes it away from the photo. Early morning or early afternoon is a good time for a good photo, depends on the weather
