Western Diamondback Rattlesnake. The snake with the most Snake Bite related Deaths in North America.

I Captured her nearer the city, and transported her to a safer location. Safer for her, as well as other city inhabitants. Just before letting her go, I wanted to get some pictures while she's all coiled up in my Camera box.
(THIS IS NOT SUGGESTED)

Her head is currently rested on her body, and she was fairly comfortable with my presence. Pulling in as close as I could, The working room on this lens arrangement is 4 inches. Our faces are now less than a foot apart. And I'm well within the strike range of this smallish 2 foot snake. As she becomes a bit more concerned, she lifts her head and begins rhythmically shaking her rattle like a maraca.
