Location
This photo was taken in my father's neighborhood while I was having a short stay there for a month vacation in the Philippines.Time
This was taken past 10:00a.m., a time beyond my comfort zone as the sun is already up and a bit harsh but I like the way she projects when she lie down on that hammock. I hurriedly came inside the house and took my camera out. I requested her not to move but just give a natural smile and she shyly obliged.Lighting
Most of my shoots were done with a natural light.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 5D Mark II with Canon EF24-70mm, no speedlight.Inspiration
I like taking candid shots. This is what I like most. When I saw her lying in hammock, I was drawn on her projection seeing this young girl's innocence.Editing
I just did a little bit of sharpening, dodge and burn and converted into black and white through Photoshop CS5.In my camera bag
I love bringing these 3 lenses where ever I go, Canon EF24-70mm 2.8, Canon EF100mm 2.8 Macro and Canon EF70-200mm 2.8 along with my Canon 5D Mark II. Recently, I purchased Canon EF85mm 1.2 as addition.Feedback
If you love candid shots, be observant and try to look beyond your subject but also be mindful of the available light because good lighting makes your photo even more interesting.
