Behind The Lens
Location
The image was shot while hiking through the Shelton, Connecticut woods. I have photographed this spot through the changing seasons. This particular image is one of my very favorites.Time
The image was shot in early morning just as the morning fog was lifting.Lighting
The fog was thick and the morning back light was creating an eerie mood.Equipment
The image was shot with a Canon T-3i, and a Tamron 28-75 mm lens. It was hand held, no flash with a polarized filter.Inspiration
It's a very moody and serene image. One can almost "feel" the quiet surrounding area.Editing
The image appears as it was shot- no post processing. In my camera bag
I usually carry 2 bodies- a Canon T3i, a Canon 60D. My lenses include a Tamron 10-24 mm, a Tamron 28-75mm, and a Tamron 18-200 mm. Also in the bag are spare batteries and SD cards, a Speedlite, notebook and pencil.Feedback
Be prepared for weather changes, and if possible plan and scout your locations. Dusk and dawn give the best lighting opportunities. Shoot everything and often. As has been said before, I've never taken a picture I intended. They're always better or worse.
