When the opportunity presents itself you jump, this was taken in a field behind my house one country evening. I have lived in Idaho all my life and I have made Cambridge my home for 30 years.Time
And the opportunity struck during the late evening as the sun was setting, I ran out and laid down in the field waiting for just the right moment.Lighting
I had been studying the "Golden Hour" for picture taking. We have some really amazing sunsets and thought I would try a new angle and catch the setting sun at the same time.Equipment
I used my Canon T4I with my 18-55 mm lens, capturing this at 49 mm, f10 and 1/200 of a sec.Inspiration
I love landscape and scenery, I love experimenting with new angles, lighting and just capturing the moment.Editing
Not much post processing, maybe a little sharpening and back lighting, I was extremely pleased with how the shot turned out. I am not a big fan of editing and strive to capture just what I see.In my camera bag
Canon T4I, Canon 70D, 18-55 mm lens, 75-300 mm lens, Tripod, Trip Cable, 50 mm Lens (nifty 50), Rokinon 14 mm 1:2.8 wide angle lens.Feedback
Be adventurous, don't be afraid to try something new. Imagination and creativity are your biggest assets, Lay in a field or on the sand. Some of the most amazing pictures are unplanned, spontaneous and in the moment. Even not so glamorous things are beautiful, everyday simple and plain objects can be the most interesting in the right setting. Step out of your bubble, find your niche and be bold.
