Location
These picture was take in French Polynesia. On the Fakarava Atoll, in a place who is call Tetamanu. Tetamanu is a village where there is 8 people who live during all the year. No shop, just 2 lodges, the older church in the tuamotu archipelago, and a famous scuba diving spot. The tumakohua pass with the wall of shark.Time
I was scuba instructor during few month. I was close to the end when my wife came to visit me. The september 21 2014, so between two dive, with in curant, so water came front ocean, we made surface interval in a place that we call the pool. clear water, few fishes, and black tips reef shark. It was 10:20.Lighting
I move myself to be sur to have the refection and to see the sky with out coconut tree.Equipment
this shot was on Nikon D200, with 10,5 mm lens, with f13. To be able to go underwater I used a sea and sea housing with the fisheye dome and 1 strobe.Inspiration
All inspire me underwater, but on this place I was looking for the clear water, shallow water, the white sand, the reflection, and on the first try I would like shark only, but with a small piece of bread, all the fishes gave nice color.Editing
I did few adjust but just to give more contrast and vibrance. In my camera bag
Mostly I do underwater photographier. I used a nikon D200 with the sea and sea housing, mostly with the 10,5 fisheye, or before the 18/55mm, with 1 strobe. Recently I bought a nikon D7100, I wait for the housing, that I will use with a macro port, and I will try before buying a macro lens to use my 50mm with extension ring.Feedback
Patience, have time, and a model who understand what you look like. A small piece of bread, not to much.
