Location
I captured this photo in our front yard whilst watching the kids and their friends having a water fight. I never know when I will capture a special moment, so like to have the camera ready and just snap away.Time
It was early afternoon, on a beautiful summer day.Lighting
It was a "at that moment" shot so lighting wasn't something I even thought about.Equipment
I used my Canon 650D with an 18-135mm lens.Inspiration
I knew that having the kids have a water fight would present some great opportunities for water effects. When they started using water bombs, we decided to see if we could capture the exact moment the balloon burst. This is one of our attempts and it captured the moment the globe began to disintegrate.Editing
Just a little enhancing. I have never had any training so am still a point and click type of photographer, and like to play with the settings when I feel really adventurous. In my camera bag
Just my Canon 650D, my 18-135mm lens and a 75-300mm lens.Feedback
The advice I live by, is don't pigeon hole your photography. The beauty of art is that its the artist's point of view. Capture the moment and see what you end up with. I always have my camera handy and am always willing to give a shot a go.
