Location
This photo is one of my all time favorites because it came out of nowhere. Sitting in the family room and just playing with my camera settings, I had just started a burst when my kitten came tearing around the corner and lunged at my other cat. I simply kept my finger on the trigger.Time
It was in the evening.Lighting
As it was indoors, without flash, I knew that the lighting would be quite poor, and as I was already playing with my settings, luck saw me have an acceptable lens setting to capture enough light.Equipment
My trusty Canon 650D with a 18-135 mm lens and 2 very over zealous cats named Charli and Dexter.Inspiration
I had seen a lot of cat photos on Viewbug and I really wanted something that stood out. In the end, it was the cats themselves that decided the photo that would stay with me forever. Their playfulness is highlighted by this photo.Editing
None.In my camera bag
I love my Canon 650D which has been my only camera body for a few years now, together with my 18-135 mm, 100 mm for macro and my 50 mm F1.8. I also carry a torch and a shutter release as well as my tripod. My motto is have it and don't need it not need it and don't have it.Feedback
If it's cats you are photographing, then expect the unexpected. Also make sure to have the right settings quite quickly as they can be so unpredictable and don't be afraid of just bursting a few random shots. Random bursts seem to catch the more amazing, off the cuff photos for me.
