This is a beautiful photo of Mt. Rainier. I like the focus points, the colors, and most of all, the capture of the sun and it's position between the trees. A well thought out capture!

Location
I took this photo in Mt Rainier National Park. August and September are the best months for photographing Mt Rainier NP. It is the time when wild flowers are blooming in meadows turning them into colorful carpet.Time
I took a Skyline trail in Paradise (Mt Rainier NP} before sunset time, hoping to get the sunset colors. The mountain was lightened by the sun, and the flowers were lightened by the sun rays coming though the trees. It was perfect time for photographing.Lighting
Golden hours are always the best to photograph Mt Rainier.Equipment
I used Nikon D800E with 14-24mm lens. There was enough light to use low ISO 100, f.14, and exp1/8.Inspiration
Mt Rainier has been always a great inspiration for me. You can go there any time of the year, and find something beautiful to photograph.Editing
I did some in PS CC, some minor adjustments. brightness, contrast , saturation. I usually photograph in raw, it requires some post-processing.In my camera bag
That depends. When I go on a trip, I usually have wild-angle lenses 16-35 an 24-70, sometimes 24-105 for my Canon camera.Feedback
When I shoot at sunset or sunrise I always take several exposures, for the sky that is usually very bright, and for the part of the photo that is in the shade. Then I blend them together.
