Today at 9:31 AM I am very honored that people like this photo. This picture was taken last summer when the level od water in Alder Lake is very high. It is located on Mt Hwy close to Elbe. Every time I drove to Mt Rainier NP I drove past this lake. That time I was amazed by the colors of the sky and stillness of the water. I parked the car and found the place at the lake. I spent the golden hours there admiring the changing colors of the sky at sunset.Time

You can photograph this lake only in the summer time, when the water is high. The lake dries towards the winter season. In the summer there is a lot of activities, boating, swimming, fishing, etc. It can be distracting. The best time is sunset, when there are some clouds in the sky.
