Hey Stuart found ya at last. Yep agree with the Sunflower Queen great textures. I really have to start using this site. I tried it for a few shots but have not used it enough. There is a lot of talent around Stuart. Watch out for Artsie (CaptureLife77) she's very talented.

Your walk was worth it...excellent capture! The tree and rocks look like they are drenched in platinum! Congratulations!

Location
This Photo was taken after a long walk in harsh winds and intermittent showers. it is locally known as "The Twisted Tree" but to me it was known as "Worth the effort". It's in the Yorkshire Dales near Ingleton.Time
This was taken about mid afternoon. We had been for lunch and on the drive back to our rented cottage I saw this from the lane.Lighting
The day itself was harsh, strong winds and low cloud moving very fast, if the weather had of been better then I would have taken a tripod and filter to blur the clouds. I took several shots but this one just sang to me. Right time in the right place.Equipment
All I had with me was my Panasonic GX1, a CSC camera, it was small but a great little bit of kit. No flash, no tripod, just stood in the wind and watching the incoming showers.Inspiration
I always research the area where I am going, this time it was the Dales, in Yorkshire. Looking at Google Maps then generated some tree images, normal skies and calm weather. I wanted to replicate the shots but if I'm honest I feel happy that it actually looks better.Editing
I usually try to use Lightroom to edit, this time however I used my trusty iPad and an App called Snapseed, an App that I now use quite often as I like the end result of a style called "Drama". I love it!In my camera bag
The problem with kit is that I have many Bags, none of them ever suit what I want to carry. I've started to carry my new Canon 5D III, learning all the time how to get different results from it. My latest lens is a Canon 16-35mm F2.8L II, this has been a real star so far especially on my latest trip to Iceland. My other lens that always comes along is a Sigma 70-200m F2.8 DG, a cracking bit of kit. I actually traded a Canon L 70-200 in for it as I didn't get on with it. I take 2 Canon Flash's, 430 ex II's and some remotes to use off body if needed. Some ND big stoppers and a cable release.Feedback
I feel photography is down to the individual, looking at some Photo's that win competitions or are for sale used to make me question my own style. I now feel that you have your own style and are unique. Where as I tried to copy or better the original shot I like to look at the area and use the lighting as much as I can. Take the camera off "Auto" and use Manual as much as possible, however if I ever struggle then 1 "Auto" shot will help me know what the Camera would do, usually done if I'm pushed for time on location. I don't always follow the Auto route as it's not always the result I want.
