Location
I took this photo on a New Year trip to Manali, IndiaTime
This was taken early in the morning when we reached our campsite. We could see huge mountains covered with snow far in the distance and perhaps the tiring journey by road of about 15 hrs. was worth it.Lighting
The mountain was naturally lit, with indirect sunlight as clouds were all over the place and we were eagerly waiting for snowfall.Equipment
This was shot on Nikon D5500Inspiration
My source of inspiration was how small the mountains made me feel. It put everything into perspective for me. That I am just another ant roaming around on this planet.Editing
Yes. As the photo was taken in broad daylight, it was pretty washed out. Hence, I dehazed the photo and adjusted the temperature a little bit.In my camera bag
I don't own a DSLR as of now. I usually borrow from other people while going on trips. I do have Sony DSC-H55 which is a point and shoot digicam.Feedback
Trying to capture mountains is not that difficult. You just need to make sure that you capture the grandeur and the elements in the photo enhance that grandeur.
