Location
This photo was taken during my trip to Calgary, somewhere around Banf national park area.Time
It was taken on August 23rd 2011, around 7pm, I was at the passenger seat admiring scenery and taking pictures of Canadian mountains, trying to make camera steady as possible since my driver was very sporty with his car.Lighting
the light was so amazing, the sun hiding behind the very dark clouds casting its own shadows on the road. Shooting from the speeding car sometimes can be very challenging but due to great light the final result was great.Equipment
This photo was taken, handheld using my old Sony a550 and 18-55 3.5 lens. no flash no filtersInspiration
clean front windows on fast car inspired me to try to make some sharp pictures of such a beautiful scenery as Canadian Rockies. It was a great fun.Editing
Converted to BW from color raw file. Tweak a bit of contrast and aded strong vignetting to achieve such drama. In my camera bag
Nowdays my camera to go is Sony a6000 and Zeiss 24 mm 1.8 ZA lens. For studio and portrait work I use Sony a99 and Zeiss 85mm.Feedback
Usually landscape photographer have patient and wait for the right moment, I like to make it fast, like the snaps of the street photos. Everything depends on the light and the point of view...I use my knowledge of portraiture photography when I shoot landscapes...lights shades and forms in harmony.
