Location
I had a rare opportunity to live and work in beautiful city of Vancouver Canada. Was located just a few steps from the sea wall and daily photo walk was part of my morning routine. This one was taken at the beach around Stanley Park.Time
early afternoon around 4pm, late septemberLighting
It was natural day light diffused by overcasting clouds.Equipment
Actually this photo was one of my first long exposure shots..I used the tripod, at that time it was Sony Alpha 550 with 50 mm 1.4 lens equipped with variable ND filter, remote control. Exposure time was 30 sec with aperture f22 and Iso 200.Inspiration
I would say that I was inspired with lightning condition. Ocean is one of my favorite subjects to photograph and using long exposure it gives you chance to freeze and smooth that unique moment of moving water making it more magic and mystical.Editing
I did some basic PP, pulling out some details from dark aeries, adjusting curves, sharpening a bit and removing a nice etc.In my camera bag
I am a Sony shooter for many years and during that time I collected some nice glasses within some nice bodies. at the moment I have in my bag as regular working horse Sony Alpha 99 full frame with CZ 24 70 mm all around lens…for head shots I use mostly CZ 85mm f1.4 For action and sport I prefer Sony Alpha 77 and For traveling I have Sony A6000 with 24/1.8 prime lens.Feedback
Just be patient and observe carefully, it will come to you naturally. Be focused on light condition rather then on texture, motif and composition. Learn from European fine artist and painter rather then from photographers.
