Love your use of focus, it really makes this image pop!!
Just an idea, but you might want to crop it just a tad so that the in focus flower is more to the right of the image (rule of thirds) and the row of unfocused flowers acts as a leading line. Stunning image though!!

Location
The photo was taken on a cloudy day in May on the Boston Commons in Boston, Massachusetts.Time
This was a Memorial Day weekend and I went to this location because there was a call on the local NPR station stating that they needed help collecting over 137,000 American flags that were placed in honor of our veterans. You can see other pics from that day on my profile. So many people showed up that the collection was literally done within 5 minutes or so, and from there I went for a walk to find other treasures around me like this one.Lighting
It was an overcast day that gave my image a more even, soft, and balanced light effect.Equipment
I shot this image with a Nikon D7100, 70-200mm f2.8 lens, handheld, and no flash.Inspiration
The flowers and their bright color is what inspired me to take this photo. Also what interested me was that it was many of the same type of flower and it was kind of in a pattern which got my attention.Editing
I did minor post-processing in Lightroom for brightness and a touch of color pop, but I do like to keep my photos as natural looking as possible unless it's for a special project. In my camera bag
On this day I was only equipped with my Nikon D7100, 70-200mm f2.8 lens, and a couple small things like a lens ball. Normally I would take a tripod, wide angle, and a prime lens.Feedback
I used a wide aperture and took a few pics of the same area with only moving my focal point to other areas. Explore your surroundings and don't leave home without your camera!
