Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at one of my favorite photography spots in Edmonton, Alberta - Hermitage Park. It's great for all types of photography and lots of birds and carious scenic spots as well as an off leash park to practice action shots of dogs.

Time

I was there in the late afternoon looking for the spring tree blossoms and young ducks and geese.

Lighting

It was taken in complete natural sunlight, as you can see from the background it was a beautiful day with a few clouds

Equipment

This was taken with a Nikon D600 and 70-200 f2.8 lens

Inspiration

As I turned around I noticed this little guy running to catch up to it's mother at the top of a small hill, I pointed the camera up and shot and snapped just as it was calling to her.

Editing

The only post processing in this photo is the RAW to Jpeg conversion and a bit of a crop

In my camera bag

In my camera bag you will find my 2 Nikon cameras, a D600 and a D90 along with the following Nikon lenses 70-200 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8, 50 f1.4, 85 f1.5, 70-30 f4.5-56, a Tokina 11-16 f2.8, and Sigma 105 f2.8 along with 2 manfrotto tripods, 1 manfrotto monopod, 2 SB800 flashes and various filters and other accessories.

Feedback

My only advise to others looking to capture something like this is patience and to shoot from a low perspective.
