This was taken early (well early for me) morning on a short walk around the neighbourhood I was staying in while the rest of my family was getting ready to go out for the day.Lighting
It is complete natural lighting on a very dull grey day. The morning was cool and damp and by this little creek it was quite misty and moody. It was very overcast.Equipment
I was using my Nikon D600 camera with my Nikon 70-200 f2.8 lens with settings of ISO 1000, F5.6 and 1/250 second.Inspiration
I was walking and taking in all sites as it was my first time visiting Holland and I was in awe with almost everything I saw. When I saw this scene it cried out to me to shoot it. It was a piece of landscape in a country foreign to meEditing
I took this photo into Capture NX2 which I was using for my processing at the time and did some adjustments and then I added a preset to it. I unfortunately do not remember which preset I used.In my camera bag
I currently have Nikon D750 and D600 cameras in my bag along with the following lenses Nikon 50mm f1.4, Nikon 24-70 f2.8, Nikon 70-200 f2.85, Nikon 70-300, Tokina 16-20 f2.8, Sigma 105 macro and Sigma 150-600 . I have 2 Nikon SB 800 flash units as well as 2 tripods, one Manfrotto and one Neewer along with a Manfrotto monopod. I have a variety of accessories as well including both wired and wireless remotes, flash triggers, polarizer and ND filters as well as other items.Feedback
I suggestion is to always carry your camera with you as you never know when something will come into view that will make a great photo. Take you time to enjoy your surrounding whether you are at home or away on vacation.
