I have always loved and in awe of fireworks since childhood . The colors were fascinating to me along with the tremendous sounds and echoes in the air. This photo and a couple more I have from this same show have been used by, News 2 abc; WKRN Nashville for the past two years for their cover stories of Celebrations around the Davidson county areas. This was an extra push to really learn more about photography~ Self taught just by messing around with my camera and using different settings to see what the outcome is. I still have a long way to go but, I enjoy taking my photos. It's my passion more now than ever before. Above all though God and My Family come first then my photography.Editing

All I have for now is my Coolpix S8000 camera, Targus Tripod 16GB SanDisk and my battery chargerFeedback
Get to the event early enough to set your gear up, check that your tripod is level. (I love my tripod with the levels built in). While at the same time make sure you have a great view where the fireworks are going to be going up. If you don't get to your place until after darkness, make sure you have a small flashlight so as to be able to check the levels if you have them. . My camera and I'm sure many have a specific setting for shooting fireworks. If not, when it gets dark look around, see if you can see fireworks off in a bit of a distance and focus on that, take test shots to make sure you are focused and ready. Good Luck and Have fun shooting~
