Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in what use to be the little town of Smyrna, Tennessee before the Nissan plant came along in late 1981& 82.

Time

It was in the evening at 5 : 15.

Lighting

The lighting was simple. For the sky had the right lighting for this photo shoot.

Equipment

I used my Samsung Galaxy phone to take this photo.

Inspiration

This barn has been here for as long as I can remember. On my way to my birthday dinner coming from Nashville, I realized all the land before the barn is being developed. That's when I decided to take this opportunity to get a picture of this beauty and the scenery around it before it was to late. Keeping the memories alive I have of how small the town use to be.

Editing

I did and it was mainly used to bring out the details of the barn along with the landscape.

In my camera bag

Well I don't have a bag as of yet. It's just my Samsung Galaxy phone for now.

Feedback

Once you have found a place to shoot, study it. Then when going to shoot, make sure you get there in plenty of time to set up. Whether it be family, models or just a landscape or a night landscape be sure to carry your tripod as well. Don't ever be afraid to experiment with your camera settings and or objects. Keep an open mind and eye. I'm a self taught and still have a lot to learn and or figure out. Best thing is to keep a positive attitude with each snap of your button. So before going out take a double check to make sure you have everything you need. Whether you are a beginner or a pro it is always good to take a second look. I wish all the beginners and self teaching have a great experience with your photography as I have and still am.
