Behind The Lens
Location
I took this picture at my parent's house on their dining table made of glass (that's why you can see the reflection). And these are actually my hands. I hid under the table so my body won't be visible.Time
During the afternoon on a rainy day, I remember I saw a reflection of a cup and I decided to reproduce the same thing with my hands.Lighting
The lightning that day was really poor because it was a grey rainy day, but I always loved gloomy ambiences.Equipment
I used Nikon D800 with Nikkor 50mm 1:1.4 lens. No flash. And instead of a tripod I used few books that I've put on the table.Inspiration
I always liked my hands but my nails aren't that long usually, so I wanted to immortalize it.Editing
I barely retouched the image (I just edited a bit with a color curve). In my camera bag
I always use my 50mm lens and my Nikon D800, nothing else.Feedback
I think the natural light is the greatest tool, you can play with it in so many ways, people usually dislike bad weather but I truly love it, you can express very melancholic moods with low light. And of course mirrors, glasses, water or any other reflecting objects made the images even more mysterious.
