Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo on Damariscotta Lake in Maine. My family travels there every summer.Time
It was late afternoon, or what my dad likes to call "prime fishing time," as he took my dog and me on a boat ride to accompany him while he fished.Lighting
NoEquipment
I used my Canon EOS Rebel T3.Inspiration
While we were driving, the wind picked up, and I was looked over at Sophie and just noticed how happy she was on the boat. She had been shaking the entire time we were getting ready to leave, and to see her so happy felt picture-worthy.Editing
I didn't edit this picture, actually. I left it the way it was.In my camera bag
I typically just have my camera along with at least one lens. But this day I just had my one lens, as I didn't really plan on taking a lot of pictures - it just happened.Feedback
Look for situations where you will find happiness, or see happiness in others, even if they aren't human. Those can make for some of the best shots.
