.... (Some notes for the curious: each of my creations start with some poem or music, or just a spark of a moment. Here, the inspiration came from the green ball, a fruit, partially hidden in grass. And four layers of photographs later... You see, what you see, and maybe more.) Thank you for the visit.

(Some notes for the curious: each of my creations start with some poem or music, or just a spark of a moment. Here, the inspiration came from the green ball, a fruit, partially hidden in grass. And four layers of photographs later... You see, what you see, and maybe more.) Walking through the woods that I live in, I noticed this big ball. It was the first one that fell from a tree, an Osage orange. I took a shot of it. It looked nice. It had the kind of color that I like. I studied a ball up close, and thought about small creatures that eat it. But then, I also thought, well if I were a small creature sitting on this green fruit, how the world would look like?Time
Since the image consists of several layers, it is difficult to say what time of day it is. So let's say it is 8:30 in late summer.Lighting
Using Photoshop, I was trying to show an early evening light after a big storm. There is something purely majestic and magical about the skies and the light after a storm. One of the layers I used here, comes from my photograph of the clouds above the fields after really strong storm. So, I mimicked that light in all the layers.Equipment
I used Canon EOS Rebel T2i and Adobe Photoshop for post-processing.Inspiration
As I said already, I simply imagined how the world would look if I were a small being sitting on the fruit green ball. I thought of a new perspective I would have while looking at otherwise familiar scene. The more I thought about this changing perspective, I felt more and more lost. I was sure that if I were to live a life of a very small being, I would have to learn a lot anew.Editing
For post-processing I used Adobe Photoshop, layers, lighting. In my camera bag
Canon EOS Rebel T2i and Nikon D5300 DX VR.Feedback
Well, since the image is not really a photograph but photopainting, it is difficult to give any advice for others about what to do. I think the best way to describe that would be: let your imagination lead you, let the moment lead you, let the mood of the scene take you wherever you want to go.
