I love Mount Moran. I went there in the fall many times when I lived in that area.

Location
This photo was taken at "oxbow bend" in the Grand Teton National ParkTime
Early morning "golden hour"Lighting
this was taken early morning during "Golden hour" of sunrise. I arrived here well before sunrise to pick my view then waited for the light to get where I wanted it to be.Equipment
Canon Eos 50D, 28-135 zoom lens, tripod, natural lightInspiration
The incredible natural beauty of the Grand Tetons and this place/scene as well as the time of year. I planed this trip to coincide with peak fall color by watching the low temperature in the park for a couple of weeksEditing
The post-processing here is minimal and basicIn my camera bag
In my bag, I keep my camera, Canon 50D, 28-135 zoom lens, 300mm lens, 100mm macro lens all canon. Extra memory cards, lens cleaning cloths, extra batteries, and a charger I can plug into the car cigarette lighter. Canon 430ex speed light with extra batteries. I don't keep it in the bag but a solid tripod is absolutely essential for nature photography, low light-long exposure.Feedback
I do a lot of scouting to plan a photography trip usually during mid-day sunlight. It helps to know exactly where you want to take photos then it's easy to plan out the time of day, angle of sun, shadows, how long it takes to get to location and equipment needed. I use apps to know the time of sunrise/set and angle of the sun to my scene
