Nature Seascape Photography. Taken from the lighthouse on the cliff at the point of Llanddwyn Island , a tiny islet off the beach at Newborough on the Isle of Anglesey off the North Wales Mainland in the UK. The view across the incoming tide shows the place where the Menai Straits meets the furtherst tip of the Atlantic Ocean and a distant panorama of the Snowdonia Mountain Range. This is lover's island and considered one of the most beautiful and romantic spots in the World. Once refuge to the Welsh "St. Valentine" , Saint Dwyran , a princess that sort refuge here and lived in isolation to avoid having to marry a man she didn't love and hold in her heart always her love of God and a secret admirer. In my opinion , this place so close to my home is one of the most tranquil and idyllic places in the world ( on a sunny day!) and i have visited many countries and places. The high pov I chose for this image with the rocks in the foreground creating a focal point to begin leading the viewers eye across the scene add to the depth and feeling off the world sinking away into the sea. it was taken in the last moments of sunrise in order to capture the vivid blue of the new sky and clear water but to enjoy the opportunity to enjoy the rich rock colours caused by dawn illuminance. The essence of the image was to produce a feeling of wellbeing and gentle relaxing contrasts, to feature the remoteness of the location , the infinite character of nature and the warmth that can be felt in isolation because of the rhythmn of the natural world around us.
