Location
This is known as the "Dish Trail" at Stanford University, Ca.Time
Late afternoon walk with my wife as I complained about the hill...and then the downhill... and then the up hill...all with a smile on my face.Lighting
I think you will learn more in the post processing aspect as the original looks a little different....?Equipment
I have two cameras... My Canon D70 with a 70-200mm lens and my Apple Camera (it comes with a phone!) This shot was with my Canon as the sun was setting.Inspiration
Anything to stop and catch my breath at this point in the trail...*S*. Well actually this satellite dish is the only one I know of and to get a shot of it at sunset was a nice gift.Editing
Of course! You don't recognize the sky? Check the "edit" file in photoshop and look for "sky replacement". And now you know... the rest of the story! Have fun!In my camera bag
Don't carry a bag...carry an iphone 12.0 pro max and utilize the Portrait mode, Pano, Video and have fun! And if you need to be serious... bring along the Canon for those shots only a 70-200mm will capture from a 100 yards away.Feedback
When I'm asked about my camera, my lens, and so on... here's my question... Are you willing to get up at 4:30 am, drive to a location, set up and wait... and wait... for a 10-15 minute window of light? And not get the "shot"? If so... Welcome! If not... enjoy your 7-8 hours of sleep and make breakfast for me when I get home (I'm gonna need a few hours to process the photos). Either way... remember... "everyday is Christmas...so enjoy the gift"!
