These were taken in around 5 pm in the fall. We started the day with wardrobe selections then started our walk around town. We found these two buses and they were a perfect match with her sunglasses!!!!Lighting
I typically like to shoot into the sun using a reflector or strobes to light the face. Because the like was soft I faced her into the sun to light her face.Equipment
I'm a Canon gal. I shoot my 5dMarkIV with my 85/ 135 or 200 f2 on this body. Then for second camera I shoot the new Canon R mirrorless with my 35mm on it for creative shots. I never use a tripod (I probably should lol) I rarely use flash/strobes but when I do my go to is ProFoto. The other equipment I can not live without is my "Spider Holster"Inspiration
I spend about 4 hours photographing my high school seniors. Its an experience not just pictures. We start at my studio and then walk around town looking for great locations. I think as photographers we need to have a vision. The buses were close enough together and I knew right away it would be an awesome photo.Editing
I bring all of my photos into light room. I lift shadows, lower highlights.. Add contrast, maybe lower noise. Name it. I do it. I then bring them into photoshop for the removal of anything which needs to be removed. Total photo is around 5 min.In my camera bag
Canon 5dMarkIV, EOS R, 85 mm ( i use to use the 1.2 but prefer the 1.4 now. Its more consistent in my opinion). The Canon 35 f.12, and sometimes I lug around the 200f2.Feedback
Train your eye. Look at photos with great composition. Look for wonderful light! Most of all enjoy creating. Create for you ! That s why people look for your work and hire you. "Work at standing out!"
