The snow melted after long winter and we decided to greet the first rays of the sun with a warm sweater among the dry grasses in Vilnius.Time
It was 2018-04-03 as time reached 15:52. Early April days are the best for low sun on the horizon at this time in Lithuania.Lighting
I used natural light and reflector to pop up the image. One of the things you can understand about lighting in other peaople photos is the reflections in people's eyes. It tells everything: where the light comes fromand how many sources were used.Equipment
AT that time 24mm was my loved one and I used Nikon D610.Inspiration
I wanted to represent all emotions that can set in ones human eye. You can feel whole life in just a one small glance. Eyes are powerfull tools.Editing
In the beginning, I color processed it Lightroom. Added some warmth to photo by removing unnecessary colors. Dodged and Burned some spots to make photo pop up. And then I addet some glow in Photoshop, highlighted freckles, eyes, and details. In my camera bag
I use my Nikon d780 and D750. My fav lenses are Nikkor 105mm f.1.4, 24mm f1.4, 35mm f1.4, 50mm f1.4 and vintage Helios 40-2.Feedback
I notice that the photographers I teach are afraid to get closer to the person. Don’t be afraid of human closeness. Go close to person face as much as you need. Immerse yourself in his soul. Feel what he is feeling. The only way to become good portrait photographere is to interract with humans. make them feel safe and beautiful and then take a nice shot!
