Surrounded by more modern buildings dating from the early 1900s to present day, this local neighborhood temple stands out in the evening sky with its traditional architectural style as a vivid reminder of more traditional and dynastic times. It is particularly noticeable that this throwback to imperial times is located in Pudong within walking distance of the glitzy towers of Shanghai's financial district and new city skyline.
