Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken at Cherry Springs State Park in Pennsylvannia. Buring a new moon, meaning the sky was the darkest possible at the time.Time
This was taken roughly around one A.M. with a thirty-second shutter speed.Lighting
The lighting was mostly absent, except for the occasional passing car which is what caused the interesting light on the trees in the background.Equipment
I used my Nikon D3200 at the time with a 35mm lens on a tripod.Inspiration
This was a location I have grown up going to, so naturally, I was here for nostalgic reasons more than any. But I knew I was going to look at the stars so I made sure to bring my tripod for the best results. It was never meant to be such a meaningful photograph but it's truly one of my best shots.Editing
I did minimal editing to this photo, only going as far as to deepen the black and lift some of the shadows. In my camera bag
In my bag is usually a few different items, first and foremost is cleaning products. Followed by my Nikon D610 with a 50mm lens. I additionally have a 35-80mm zoom lens and then a 120mm prime lens. I also keep extra batteries, SD cards, and an external power bank.Feedback
Just to be patient and make sure to bring a tripod. The only other thing is to make sure the sky is dark and clear!
